Love Making Heat

Since 2001, we've been known as Eskimo, a name that helped us disrupt the heating industry with
design-led radiators, intelligent electric systems, and an obsession with doing things better.

Today, we're moving forward as EKO.

At Eko, we create clever, clean, and considered heating and energy solutions for people who care about design, performance, and the planet.

Absolutely delighted with how well the Column radiators perform with our heat pump, quick to warm up, consistent heat, and they look fantastic too

“Our Gong Outline radiator is such a standout, super clean lines, really understated, and the unique patina always gets people asking about it

About us

Designed & Made in Birmingham, UK

Eko, previously known as Eskimo is a British brand that turns clever designinto cleaner heat, for homes, working spaces, people, and the planet. Fromits own factory in Birmingham, it manufactures heating and energyproductsthat combine beauty with technical intelligence.

Eko's Legacy

Where Engineering Redefines Warmth

Founded in North London in Spring 2001 by Phil Ward, we started with the name Eskimo, set out to challenge the ugly and impractical side of interior heating with beautifully designed, high-performance radiators and rails.

Today, we continue that vision—combining clean aesthetics with innovative, energy-conscious design to warm spaces without warming the planet, proving functional design never has to be ugly.

First Launch

Introducing our very first product line - Outline

Eskimo reshaped the perception of radiators with the introduction of the Outline range, transforming them from purely functional fixtures into refined design elements. Defined by clean lines and a sleek, architectural form, Outline proved that minimalist aesthetics need not come at the expense of performance. By combining striking simplicity with high heat output and engineering precision, Eskimo set a new standard for design-led heating.

Ron is Introduced

RON was the firstelliptical modular column radiator which challenged the castiron style, school radiator style column radiators out there, with stunning forms inspired by 1950saircraft and pleasing metal finishes not yet experienced

Developing The Hinge & Bracket System

The Hinge & Bracket Hidden Valve system for Outline was developed and launched as the first concealed valve solution of its kind. Designed to completely hide both the valves and pipework while still allowing easy access for maintenance when required, it remains an unrivalled innovation in radiator design today.

The Birth of Gordon

Gordon - the flash-drying vertical electric towel rail- was another industry first from EKO. Its innovative “prong” design was developed around the natural way people already hang and use their towels, creating a more intuitive and effective drying experience. Paired with a carefully selected high-friction powder-coated finish, Gordon not only enhanced functionality and towel grip but also introduced a new level of sophistication to the heated towel rail market.

Column — Designed to Unlock the Full Potential of Heat Pumps.

Columnwas designed to offer a mid-market price point with opulence and thehighest performance on the market at the time. One small and perfectly formed aluminiumextrusion with seven ovals front and back to maximise performance, making it the aleadingproduct for the heat pump market

Stronger than ever

Rebranding as Eko

Since 2001, Eskimo has built a reputation for disrupting the heating industry with design-led radiators, intelligent electric systems, and a constant drive to improve. Today, the brand evolves into EKO—a change that reflects both a growing awareness of cultural sensitivity and a clearer expression of what the company stands for. EKO represents a collaborative approach to low-carbon living, working closely with architects, engineers, developers, and like-minded partners to create smarter, cleaner heating solutions. While the name is new, the foundations remain the same: UK-based manufacturing, a trusted network of skilled local partners, and a commitment to reducing environmental impact without compromising on design or performance. As EKO expands its reach globally, its mission stays consistent—decarbonising heat through innovation, collaboration, and craftsmanship—while continuing to deliver the same products, service, and values customers have always known.
